oh what
no removable?
righto
Yeah, save yourself the trouble and just equip a soup can with a fucking string for fuck's sake
Not that it wouldn't be worth installing your own jack if you're that concerned with even frequency response but what the fuck do I know.

:000
now I want the 668B cause muh balanced and removable cable
I'm just an autist for the removable-ness after relying on it for the last few years. Also juggling 8 feet of fucking cable is a retarded headache that just doesn't make sense within the boundries of the known universe.
just solder a 3.5 female im or some shit
Yeah I said earlier...I think.
In any case no normal human should be as off-put as I am by attached cable.
I'm ass at soldering
668B is free express shipping
so it's same price as 681
seems worth then
tfw ur so angry about a $20 headphone not having a removable jack you forgot that you can just buy a 50c jack and just do it yourself instead of acting like a big baby
/g/ - technology
im lazy
fuck off wind
>plastic wires
from what you said it sounds like youre talking about the "fibre" for strength, but that stackexchange thing you linked is talking about enamel coated copper
just give it a go
enamel wire is a bitch
struth
I took it out of my hi2050s and replaced it with 22 awg copper from ali
and then put a jack on
awfully enough before I had a jack, I hand made a 3.5 mm cable, it was even braided
it was awful though, decent for a first try, but awful compared to just buying a $1 aux
just dunk the end in acetone :v
or with newer stuff there's other scarier solvents
can likely also burn it off
i just burn it
but i try and avoid enamel whenever possible
it doesn't help that the copper is literally hair thin in some cases
Emery boards for nails work too
But you have to really work them, if you don't, the connection will have such a resistance you won't hear shit
And it'll be unbalanced
