880's are better imo

the 569's, and pretty much all of the 5XX line are all pretty veiled and soft

880's at least slam a good bit more, tho they also have an upper midrange recession, but to a lesser degree

so that marks the 599's also out

with the250 ohm version

does it drain my telbatt more?

why are you running them off your phone though?

what do you mean with damping and legacy issues/

old standard output impedance was about 120 ohm

so you need a factor of 8 to overcome any significant FR changes

hence the 600 ohm variant
