I never aspired to attend a dream school, I just intended to go to the state uni and that’s where I am
But I feel for you
Appreciate it brothers
6% acceptance rate lmao
F
What’re you studying at uni?
Comp sci and business as of now
cool, I’m starting Math personally
I’m terrible at math
Barely got through calculus in high school
currently watching wkuk for like hours
Plenty of schools will fetch you a good business or COMPSCI education, but an Ivy League kind of school like that is really extra beneficial because of the brand
A Harvard graduate may catch an employer’s eye quicker than a state university graduate, but you’ve still got the potential to do great things
Yeah most schools you’ll get the same education unless it’s a top tier. That’s when it comes down to cost and location and stuff like that
Good
living in Massachusetts, I grew up with a pretty clear idea of how likely I was to get into the big boy schools
Massachusetts is so competitive damn
Prep school fags
exactly
Harvard is right there
I know one guy who got into Yale
that’s all
my brothers are at Georgetown and Boston college they’re better than me
That’s what they’d like to think
Nah they’re humble ab it
A lot of people think that way though
I find it hard to believe that anyone can be humble about going to a fancy college
The whole selling point is that it’s fancy and really rich people go there
the grades at BC are on a curve such that only a certain percentage of the class is mathematically allowed to get an A
It depends. I’ve met people who think they’re the shit bc they go there but most of the kids who I hung out and partied with were super down to earth
I’d say they might be the exception not the rule but idk
I’m just jealous tbh
I wish I had the kind of drive those people do
I can barely get all of my work done where I am now
I never strived for a 4.0 GPA, I just sort of expected to do fine by getting my homework done and knowing what’s being taught
