it's as close to black as I'm willing to go so the lines still stick out

theres always charcoal outlines with a 6b shading

that should be sufficiently dark

i wish I still had some charcoal. my figure studies are wack with just my pencils

my drawing software emulates different materials pretty well. I like digital.

i never got into digital. it makes a lot of sense tho. ive been eying a nice wacom for a while

i used an older one once, but it was disorienting to use

I've been using tablets since middle school (2004ish) I can't remember what the learning curve was like

maybe you would be more at ease with one of the models that you draw directly on the screen

that sounds more appealing.

it just felt like i was doing constant blind contour drawing lol

so im sure its just a matter of getting used to it
