considering 3(Red,black,white) color e-ink costs (single unit no sales) 20ish dollars

it could be easily done (2.66inch)

the display isnt the issue

its getting something thatll play audio without looking like shit

could be done with a raspi i guess

arduino + audioshielt (sure banana pi/raspbi etc work too)

just get your normal audioshield and that should do the trick
