And it only seems that way because the first few fib numbers are essentially just counting up

2019-08-13 07:41:51 UTC

Do the 12th fib number and see for yourself.

vermin supreme 4 ever

2019-08-13 12:51:38 UTC

Is he even in the libertarian party?

2019-08-13 12:51:53 UTC

I thought he had his own joke one

2019-08-13 12:53:04 UTC

He was a Republican at one point

2019-08-13 12:53:48 UTC

He got enough support to be in the Vermont primary one year I think

2019-08-13 12:54:15 UTC

That had to be a joke

2019-08-13 12:54:16 UTC

He was running as Republican in 2008, Democrat in 2012, Democrat and then Libertarian in 2016, and now starting as a libertarian in 2020

2019-08-13 12:55:05 UTC

He’s a parody of the worst excess of both parties

2019-08-13 12:55:30 UTC

“I’m a friendly fascist” and other such lines

2019-08-13 12:58:02 UTC

Brushing your teeth is to be made mandatory, enforced by a gang of tooth fairies

2019-08-13 12:58:34 UTC

Every man, woman, and child gets a free pony

2019-08-13 13:01:42 UTC

I honestly don't know if he's just being a parody candidate or not

2019-08-13 13:02:09 UTC

He's listed as a "performance artist"

2019-08-13 13:02:20 UTC

@C1PHER also I wouldn’t expert a European tranny to know about a niche American political figure

2019-08-13 13:03:32 UTC

I remember when this guy was all I knew about politics

2019-08-13 13:03:59 UTC

Catlin seems fairly informed about American politics, but I don't think they consider the Libertarian party to be a legitimate party and are just saying that a picture like that doesn't help the LP image

2019-08-13 13:04:50 UTC

"but at least everyone still has their clothes on"

2019-08-13 13:05:14 UTC

Clothes are a tool of the patriarchy

2019-08-13 13:43:42 UTC

Electronics have become remarkably cheap over time, particularly for what you're getting out of it. Sure there are still definite markups in some portions of the industry, or for certain brands but it's been pretty feasible to get whatever you need at (relatively) low cost

2019-08-13 14:55:57 UTC

@Big T why are u big t now

2019-08-13 14:56:21 UTC

Should be Big Brain!

2019-08-13 16:05:19 UTC

Now I understand the hijab.

Per gigabyte, per pixel etc etc. Not what I'm talking about though

Have the midrange cell phones gone down in price? The top of the line phones? Top of the line laptops? Have the mid range monitors gone down in price?

I understand a 2019 honda is going to be a thousand times more luxurious than a 1940 Bentley and a thousand times more fuel efficient but the prices haven't fluctuated to far between a mid range sedan in 1950 vs a midrange sedan today as far as my knowledge goes

2019-08-13 16:49:16 UTC

Also a thousand times safer and more reliable

2019-08-13 16:52:52 UTC

Low, mid, and high range products such as cell-phones have stayed relatively consistent in price. The difference is the shift of product as new devices push down previous iterations.

2019-08-13 16:53:19 UTC

The only one I might argue that has changed is the high-end largely being pushed up in price inch by inch.

2019-08-13 16:53:55 UTC

No way in hell am I going to spend $1000+ for a smartphone.

Apple shit is generally inflated by muh brand, though better hardware also plays a factor. It's worth remembering as well that a 500 dollar phone now is "cheaper" than a 500 dollar phone 10 years ago. Further, it depends on the range of time used. The jump to 1k for some models is relatively recent, and comes after decades of price drops. The last time a flagship was 1k was what, the 90s? Which, as I said prior, still makes it "cheaper" in terms of actual valuation, if not in terms of # of USD

2019-08-13 18:14:48 UTC

Apple is most certainly brand jerked.

2019-08-13 18:14:56 UTC

Just as Samsung is.

2019-08-13 18:15:26 UTC

The end result may not be the customer paying less, but having far more effective products for the amount you do pay
