I love the show, and the politics aren't overtly analogous to our day. It takes place 500 years in the future, and it's one that doesn't require nearly as much suspension of disbelief as most sci fi. Star Trek and BSG had far more overt political engineering going on.

I've just seen the frothing rants from Abraham

and I've seen more and more of his libshit attitude make it into the books

I don't pay attention to him, so maybe you're just trying to see it

and see characters sayign shit that's obviously just him spouting his politics

same reason I found Heinlein to be boring overall

So much of his dialogue is just him spouting his own opinions

I'm going to get back to actually watching the show now.
