2018-08-08 16:35:42 UTC

Enjoying my first furore into chi-fi with my KZ ZSR but are there any more in ear headphones I should try?

2018-08-08 16:39:51 UTC

2018-08-08 16:39:54 UTC

2018-08-08 16:40:35 UTC

Really? I must get the cheapness

2018-08-08 17:04:36 UTC

tn i hear are pretty good

2018-08-08 17:38:26 UTC

KZ has some... Particular tunning that some people won't like and sometimes the qc is shit. The new tips are shit, and the old cable is doable but also not that good. I only own the ED4 and ED16/ZS7; and the first one being a gift from a friend (they do sound better than the random 5 bucks Sony or JBL, but nothing special), so I have only paid for the ED16. I have heard the ZS10, Es4, AS10 and ZSR due to a reviewer friend, and mostly just some tracks so I can't give an objective view, but I can tell you I prefer the ED16 over the ZSR, they sound similar (and they should, based on the frec. Graph) but I think the former improves on the weak points of the later.

2018-08-08 17:40:55 UTC

the star tips are good

2018-08-08 17:41:01 UTC

i don't know if they've changed those on the new models

2018-08-08 17:44:40 UTC

I'm looking for some noise canceling headphones, can be BT but if so that they have 5+ hours of battery life and I thing aptx support, price range is unimportant but let's say I can go up to 150. My use case is that me city decided to re route the trucks next to my apartment and it's noisy, so I want to me able to listen to music and comfortably. I shall check the pinned ones to see if one fits my bill, I'm on mobile atm

2018-08-08 17:45:15 UTC

kz sucks

2018-08-08 17:45:24 UTC

stop buying trash reeeeeee

2018-08-08 17:45:50 UTC

@Lecter you wont get noise cancelling headphones for under $150 new

2018-08-08 17:45:57 UTC

at least nothing worth looking at

2018-08-08 17:46:19 UTC

the rnd required for good anc is stupid because bose has patents

2018-08-08 17:46:28 UTC

ety friend

2018-08-08 17:46:51 UTC

the only people who've done anything of worth comparable have been sony, sennheiser, and those who have purchased bose's tech

2018-08-08 17:47:49 UTC

I said that price due to this being chi fi, 150 being the cheapest used I have seen, tbh idk about chifi improvements

2018-08-08 17:48:01 UTC

china cant do anc for shit

2018-08-08 17:48:04 UTC

buy a used qc25

2018-08-08 17:48:07 UTC

that's about it

2018-08-08 17:48:36 UTC

qc15 if you dont mind some older "standards" like non rechargable batteries and no wireless

2018-08-08 17:48:42 UTC

actually idk if the qc25 even had wireless

2018-08-08 17:49:20 UTC

i guess you dont seem to need wireless as a necessity

2018-08-08 17:50:27 UTC

My budget is more or less unlimited, but since it's due to a situation that might change, i plan to expend the minimum.

2018-08-08 17:50:51 UTC

should be able to get a used qc25 for around 150

2018-08-08 17:50:58 UTC

less than that is going to be sketchy

2018-08-08 17:51:14 UTC

buy a qc25 then sell it later ;)

2018-08-08 17:51:17 UTC

if you can find one with munted pads, you can buy chinese pads for fuck all and slap them on

2018-08-08 17:51:58 UTC

I do have some sennheiser but they are a bit old and I do want to use this as an excuse to try noise canceling
