GMOs actually solve tons of problems
something I was thinking is we could actually create carbon pipes to help crops grow to feed so many more people and save so much woodland
and water
Plus there’s a GM mosquito that decimates populations to the point where disease transfer is very unlikely. Guess who’s against that? Leftists
yeah we could very well see the end of malaria
that is MASSIVE
that's bigger than curing cancer
Isn't everything that we grow as food a GMO at this point?
in a sense
Whether intentionally or not?
we've been messing with plants and animals for hundreds of years
@wolfman1911 pretty much yes.
carrots are naturally white
bananas are not sweet and are full of seeds
and straight
The process isn’t dissimilar. genetic modification only speeds things up.
@Lord Zedd it’s the same with DDT. Africa can’t use ddt because some bird species in North America reacted badly to it.
imagine they could make corn and wheat with double the yields that are pest and drought resistant
^
hopefully the new mozzies will eliminate the need for DDT
did you know ruby chocolate is a thing?
Or use golden rice to supplement south East Asian diets to help prevent health problems
it's a type of chocolate that is sort of reddish and tastes sort of like berries, that's pretty awesome stuff
What’s ruby chocolate?
I want it
it's still pretty uncommon Kit Kat had a short run of ruby chocolate kit kats for a while
I quite like it
That reminds me of the people that get pissy about farmers having to buy new seeds every year. Like, no shit, otherwise the company selling the seeds goes out of business.
I liked a pic in the pictures channel
The Monsanto freak outs are ridiculous
Glyphosate doesn’t harm people
You can practically drink the crap.
Kit Kat are really good about trying new things they have sort of caramel white chocolate hybrid now which I like
and the thought of plants like Cocoa and Coffee having wider ranges of viable farmlands is a big deal
and plants like Rice and Cotton take a ton of water to produce
it's all exciting stuff
Right.
Maybe hemp clothing really is better. Lol
we could even see a sort of natural poly cotton plant 😄
and what if we could use plants to create new polymers instead of oil?
