Why is it unethical to withdraw aid to these countries, but it's A-okay to send medical professionals to go be killed by people who don't want their help anyway?

2019-11-28 18:35:54 UTC

This has been happening for over a year.

2019-11-28 18:36:01 UTC

Media just never talks about it.

2019-11-28 18:36:31 UTC

The Congo has been killing the healthcare workers trying to save them from Ebola since a little before this time last year

2019-11-28 19:37:15 UTC

just leave them to themselves and let darwinism sort everything out, they seem hell bent on killing themselves with pure stupidity

2019-11-28 20:12:08 UTC

There's always the issue of quarantine. You try to stop the disease there so it doesn't keep spreading and mutating. With international air travel to/from Congo, the disease can go anywhere with a simple plane ride.

2019-11-28 22:38:35 UTC

It's already spread to a coulple neighbors

2019-11-28 22:38:41 UTC

That boat has long sailed

2019-11-28 22:39:06 UTC

This has been over a year long problem. The civil war, and the fact that in the Congo they'll just chase and kill white people.

Epstein's plastic surgeon died last month in a plane crash: it was filled with the wrong type of fuel, causing "detonations"; within the engine.

Get woke go broke

2019-11-29 01:34:48 UTC

Nope, the problem is that they aren't woke enough.

`"Google just fired 4 of my coworkers for daring to ask the question 'is Google helping separate families or cage children at the border?'" tweeted Amr Gaber, a Google software engineer who has previously organized protests of the company. "After finding openly accessible information, they alerted coworkers of the horrifying news. Yes. Google is working with [US Customs and Border Protection]."`

2019-11-29 01:39:15 UTC

Didn't they change their motto from Don't Be Evil to something else?

2019-11-29 01:41:09 UTC

I don't know if they changed it to something else, but yes.

2019-11-29 01:41:59 UTC

That said, even when the motto was 'dont be evil' it became clear pretty early on that it was just words to them.

2019-11-29 01:44:32 UTC

"don't, be evil"
people always miss the comma

2019-11-29 01:44:42 UTC

I think they changed it to "do the right thing"

2019-11-29 01:45:41 UTC

they gave me free email

2019-11-29 01:45:43 UTC

how can they be evil

2019-11-29 01:45:50 UTC

but they do seem to be pissing off everyone these days, that is the risk you run when you play at being progressive

2019-11-29 01:46:38 UTC

We're all fucked because they're instituted all these trust and safety council things and it's run by retards who make $10 an hour

2019-11-29 01:47:12 UTC

all this censorship is because some bitter commie fat unfuckable white girl, or poor angry pajeet stuck in a call center in India has to read through all this shit and click "allow" or "cancel"

2019-11-29 01:47:14 UTC

and you have both parties with people talking about regulating or splitting them up
they way they're going it's going to go through with bipartisan support
they could maybe take the hit in Europe with article 13 but the US would cripple them

2019-11-29 01:47:23 UTC

Regulations won't fix anything.

2019-11-29 01:47:52 UTC

A lot of these regulations are what's allowing this shit to happen

2019-11-29 01:47:58 UTC

Cost to entry is astronomical

2019-11-29 01:48:03 UTC

it's like ISPs

2019-11-29 01:48:33 UTC

All these retards screamed and yelled for more policing on the platforms and now it's here.

2019-11-29 01:48:37 UTC

It's worse than that. It's not just that it's being run by retards that make ten dollars an hour, it's run by retards that make ten dollars an hour that know this is the most power they will ever get, and intend to make use of it.

2019-11-29 01:48:55 UTC

And it's done by retards who havn no skills for a better job.

2019-11-29 01:48:56 UTC

a regulation would be very simple codify the platform/publisher thing
if they want protection from copyright suits they have to be neutral, but if they want to curate their results and content then they have to be open to lawsuits when copyright is breached

2019-11-29 01:49:24 UTC

It's already clear they're in violation of safe harbor by anyone with a brain

2019-11-29 01:49:30 UTC

could be worse, they could be doing it for free

2019-11-29 01:49:36 UTC

go read the precedent judgements from the 80's and the BBS's that got fucked

2019-11-29 01:49:49 UTC

they're doing all the shit that all the BBS's that got nailed were doing.

2019-11-29 01:50:00 UTC

It's those cases where the whole Safe Harbor idea comes from.

2019-11-29 01:50:06 UTC

but a law unenforced is no law

2019-11-29 01:50:06 UTC

We don't need more regulation
