@zyzz I think he's turning out to be a really smug asshole. He still makes some really good content, but his unshaking allegiance to the alt right results in some unpalatable or bunkt ideology.

I still stay subscribed to hear his ideas out, but recently it seems he's recording more saucy hit pieces than what he used to upload.

Had the best conversation with a close friend of mine about Black Panther and "black culture"

I said "I didn't care for the racial politics, so I opted not to watch the movie and take part. My personal decision."

This turned into, "So you don't believe in Black people having their black culture"

I said "That's not it. It's more so... What is 'black culture' exactly and why can't any black person define specifically 'the black experience'? I just think that we're collectivising people unnecessarily and they don't really 'share' an experience unilaterally."

"plus, I don't care to marry 'race' with 'culture' and 'morals' and 'ethics'."

She said "well it's more like the African Diaspora"

I respond with "well then call it the 'African experience'"

I also say "I don't want or care to racialize everything. I opted not to watch Black Panther because it no longer was a Marvel movie, but instead it was a black movie about Black people."

Anyways, to cut it short, she said "we'll race is a social construct and black people are just trying to own 'being black' since historically we pushed blackness in them."

Anyways, to cut this short, apparently the race hustlers are playing linguistic games cause black means African and they're talking about culture, not race, but also black people are oppressed and that's cause of "racists"....but it's not about race.
