I'm picking up almost no volume according to windows, either

It's picking up, but I'm right on top of the mic and my internal mic on my (2 feet away) is picking up more volume
and on thursday, my mic was so loud that I was clipping every time I opened my mouth
I'm going to try and restart and see if it does anything
