GoG has made statements about a CoC to stop hatespeech in game reviews and shit
Wew
I'm a lniux fag
and I have an older meh GPU atm
960? 1060? see not even sure it's so meh
I was going to replay KOTOR
I have a windows gaming PC with a 1070ti and everything else is probably bottleneck now. Otherwise I tinker with Linux
people were talking about the new Star Wars game
Got me thinking about all the old games
Dark Foces
Jedi Knight Dark Forces II
Yeah I've heard that the new game is fine but obviously not Outcast/Academy good combat-wise
Multiplayer for Outcast and Academy were so fun
I found it in my box of old computer shit
I have the Jazz Jackrabbit CD still
Found WCII, as well, but just a jewel case
I've still got Warcraft 2 and Quake 2
We had a copy of Fallout 1 but it didnt work and I think we got rid of it, which is a shame because I think I could have fixed it now
I don't mind paying more if they actually do something
Look worse than the originals
Yeah, often they dont bother to match it to the overall aesthetic
I like what GoG is doing, but for someone like me. I already bought all these games, most of the people who worked on them are long gone.
Do they donate to dosbox?
Or you get gameplay additions that dont fit. Fucking Beamdog
have anyone work on code?
Everything I've seen is just ini files
not like it's anything special
Beamdog does the old Black Isle/Bioware Enhanced Edition versions
So the BG2 version with the Orc Blackguard and the party-able vampire and shit <:blondeDisgust:622971427410149386>
I heard the NWN "enhanced" was just complete garbage too
HMM WHAT'S THIS
Oh yeah that game looks neat
And tbh I didnt like the old NWN much either, though the editor was pretty great
I haven't actually heard anything about the Beamdog BG2 'remaster,' but I kinda stopped paying attention to Beamdog after I realized that BG Tutu was still the best way to play the first game.
They just contract a bunch of artists and make new assets cause it's cheaper than improving anything. So what's the point.
It's hard for me to see anything from most of these remasters as anything but a cash grab
Artists are a lot cheaper than programmers, especially if the quality of some of these remasters is anything to go by...they're not getting the best artists either.
@wolfman1911 I don't think you can even buy the originals anymore
Last I heard GOG includes the originals if you buy the remake, but if you don't want to give money to a bunch of hacks, yeah you can't buy them anymore.
