@Mandatory Carry Tragically the other person is the hobo who lived in the attic. Unfortunately he was called away by the CIA and it can only be hoped that he is ok.

Trump is an awesome president. Change my mind!

2019-11-17 23:06:56 UTC

@PosterBoy316 especially if you're in Israel

2019-11-17 23:47:17 UTC

What would happen if you capped all salaries in the US to idk 150k a year. The value of the dollar would go up (less of them), prices would come down. Everyone would be capped.. Sports people, actors, congress, doctors.

2019-11-17 23:48:31 UTC

Businesses could still earn more as long as they don't pay it in salaries

2019-11-17 23:49:30 UTC

If you wanted to offer more then 150k a year to an employee the rest after the 150k would be stock

2019-11-17 23:50:58 UTC

so you work and make 12.5k max a month + 50 shares of xyz

2019-11-17 23:52:17 UTC

of course you could still make less, so most ppl would be unaffected

2019-11-17 23:53:41 UTC

it's kinda unfair to ppl who started businesses that are doing really well, but again the business could earn unlimited just salaries are capped

2019-11-17 23:56:28 UTC

That way that money made by the buisness could be used to hire more staff / equipment

2019-11-18 00:00:10 UTC

What would the negative impacts be?

2019-11-18 00:02:05 UTC

People paid by a a host like say a youtube creator would not be capped because it's not a salary

2019-11-18 00:03:14 UTC

So it would still be possible to earn more

2019-11-18 00:06:36 UTC

Anyone have any thoughts ? This is just a crazy idea I had.. Dunno if it would actually work

2019-11-18 00:12:08 UTC

Everyone would want to become freelancers. (I'll build your program / create your art for 200k)

2019-11-18 00:12:32 UTC

Should apply to consultents tho

2019-11-18 00:12:38 UTC

idk

2019-11-18 00:18:12 UTC

all salaried white collar jobs would be turned into hourly positions.

2019-11-18 00:18:22 UTC

boom, regulation avoided.

2019-11-18 00:18:59 UTC

you take w/e they got salaried and divide that by 2080 and thats their hourly rate.

2019-11-18 00:19:34 UTC

since its a position that requires advanced knowledge, they would be exempt from overtime too, so its almost the same as a salaried set up.

2019-11-18 00:33:12 UTC

I dunno what you mean by 1000 an hour / Entry Level... Isnt Entry level usually like 20.00 an hour = 41k a year

2019-11-18 00:34:43 UTC

hes trolling lol

2019-11-18 05:29:32 UTC

Regulatiion of the amount of money you can make isn't really regulation guys! See this gets rid of the regulation!

2019-11-18 06:21:21 UTC

I never said it wasn't regulation, would bring down inflation. No one needs to earn more then 12.5k a month

2019-11-18 06:22:00 UTC

Just a though excursive anyhow

2019-11-18 06:23:48 UTC

You'll have to close your iron curtain too, or people will bail out

2019-11-18 06:58:37 UTC

Old enough to be born before the iron curtain was lifted

2019-11-18 07:02:23 UTC

Actually, this is not communism. Communism would be saying everyone will make xxxx amount of money. This would just add an upper limit and it would still be possable to earn more with stocks or via a freelance job

2019-11-18 07:02:57 UTC

Do football players really need 2.3 million dollars a year

2019-11-18 07:03:28 UTC

The question is not whether they *need* this, but whether they *can* get this somewhere else

2019-11-18 07:03:49 UTC

They cant if this were a thing

2019-11-18 07:03:52 UTC

If I can earn 150k here or 2.3m there for doing the same job, guess where I will be working

2019-11-18 07:10:28 UTC

It's hilarious you think it's how much people can earn and not the Fed and our imaginary fiat currency that causes the crazy swings of inflation and deflation. Are you a writer for Owen Benjamin?

2019-11-18 07:12:48 UTC

Didn't Trump say he wants to get us back on the gold standard, i'm all for that.

2019-11-18 07:13:42 UTC

Yes, the FED increasing interest rates devalues the dollar and increases prices

2019-11-18 07:16:24 UTC

I'm no economist but I think we could phase out the fed. However, I'm not sure how

2019-11-18 07:16:50 UTC

Yeah, but your whole idea to stop inflation was to do the same sort of retarded "well intentioned" regulatory bullshit that congress and the Fed already does

2019-11-18 07:17:12 UTC

We can't phase out the fed, but we can't just put arbitrary limits on shit ant hink it'll solve anything

2019-11-18 07:17:18 UTC

I'm a small business owner

2019-11-18 07:17:32 UTC

I have my own S Corp
