What would happen if you capped all salaries in the US to idk 150k a year. The value of the dollar would go up (less of them), prices would come down. Everyone would be capped.. Sports people, actors, congress, doctors.

Businesses could still earn more as long as they don't pay it in salaries

If you wanted to offer more then 150k a year to an employee the rest after the 150k would be stock

so you work and make 12.5k max a month + 50 shares of xyz

of course you could still make less, so most ppl would be unaffected

it's kinda unfair to ppl who started businesses that are doing really well, but again the business could earn unlimited just salaries are capped

That way that money made by the buisness could be used to hire more staff / equipment

What would the negative impacts be?

People paid by a a host like say a youtube creator would not be capped because it's not a salary

So it would still be possible to earn more

since its a position that requires advanced knowledge, they would be exempt from overtime too, so its almost the same as a salaried set up.

Actually, this is not communism. Communism would be saying everyone will make xxxx amount of money. This would just add an upper limit and it would still be possable to earn more with stocks or via a freelance job
