Thanks, beeman.
superchats only, is what I mean
I felt like "First!" for a monment
not that you can bribe your way onto the show 👌
nah s'all good
@Saint i know I'm late to the party, but if you need any further psychology help, dm me.
I'm in the market for a good PC in a decent price range any suggestions
depends on what you're trying to do with it
yer a bit facked tho because hardware prices are going up due to plebs trying to mine using midrange GPUs and other goofy shit
or rather have gone up
and will hopefully go down in the next year or so but we'll see
I just upgraded my rig with a used one I got off Facebook marketplace
I'm happy with it
So what you're saying is that I'm jumping in with the PC master race at the wrong time
yeah you might be able to do some second hand tomfoolery, especially with the minerplebs
at like the single window of wrong time in the past 10ish years lol
I didn't really get into the gaming thing until late in highschool
My envy M6 is enough for me right now. I'm trying to save for a house
prior to this AMD released some nice 970 tier GPUs without the memory fuckery for much cheaper, harddrives were starting to get cheaper (but now people are using those for mining too apparently) and prior to THAT we had the endless 360/ps3 gen, which meant you could build a mid tier rig and run basically everything
that said, MY PC probably isnt too hard to build, but it's not ideal for modern gaming
Thanks Beemann I didn't ever really have a PC set up that was good for gaming especially online so I was always on console
I have an fx8350, a 970 (which I wouldnt recommend) about 8gb of ram, and I probably spent about 200 on the PSU and mobo combined. Case was like 50 bucks
I dont play turbo newshit outside of Kingdom Come, which does kinda run like ass (40 almost everywhere). Nier ran fine though for the most part
Siege runs fine as well
My friends tried to talk me into building one from the ground up a few years ago and in hindsight I probably should have
it's actually not that hard to do. Everything just kinda slots in outside of your CPU fan
some of those are real fuckers
I just bought a 2016 model HP Envy M6 for 150 bucks. I had to sacrifice some graphics for now, but it records, and edits videos, plus plays blizzard games. It will get me by until I move, and then I can build one
I was told I need something pretty good to run the games I play the most which is PUBG BF1 and the witcher 3
the thing with notebooks is that you're pretty much gonna get fucked on hardware for the price point unless you get a really sweet deal
I run TW3 pretty shakey, I will admit
But they're easy to move
it does run though
I mean, I wouldnt take my PC on the bus but it's not hard to move my tower around. You can get desktops pretty small these days, even without leaving ATX
issue is that you cant fit in bigger GPUs and sometimes that's needed
Yeah considering that TW3 runs a tad janky on console I can imagine it might run bad if you don't have a good set up
I have a thinkpad, I just dont use it for anything newer than VTM:B
and I got it cheap+refurbished
For me it's convenience. I can grab my notebook, shove it in a bag, and bring it to my mom and dad's for the weekend and still work and/or game
I had a notebook that was pretty good for simple games but my little brother searched porn on it and killed the fuckin thing
yeah I've brought my laptop with me to visit my dad. The thing is that I'd honestly rather game on my main PC, so it's just for word processing and browsing with a larger screen at this point
and tinkering, because it's a linux machine
