being a "protected class" is not really good for anyone. Sure maybe you get a bonus point here and there, but it places the whole group into basically a system of semi-socialism, where the middle achievers are takes jobs and resources from the high achievers, but they are not good enough to ever be the best. So the high-achievers of the black community are limited in their ability to compete with white and asians, because they are kept out of positions that would give them opportunity by lower achieving members ofi their own group who are given artificial advantages.
