I hate using gas stoves

2019-09-26 23:48:56 UTC

I just had some homess, drunk, mexican-indian dudes "bless" me in tongues

2019-09-26 23:49:05 UTC

does electric heat up faster?

2019-09-26 23:49:27 UTC

it's more dependable and easier to fine tune

2019-09-26 23:49:32 UTC

ah

2019-09-26 23:49:49 UTC

I have a gas oven here and sometimes it'll just go out

2019-09-26 23:50:53 UTC

Apparently induction ovens are really good for control too.

2019-09-26 23:51:11 UTC

And they are more energy efficient

2019-09-26 23:51:43 UTC

Currently they are a bit expensive, but the price should reduce over time

2019-09-26 23:51:44 UTC

why does hank hill shill propane so much

2019-09-26 23:51:55 UTC

Because it’s his job. lol

2019-09-26 23:51:57 UTC

lol

2019-09-26 23:51:58 UTC

I'd probably install solar panels on the shed roof too and bring down costs as much as possible

2019-09-26 23:52:16 UTC

No I’m talking about the hardware is more expensive now

2019-09-26 23:52:31 UTC

I think it’s an interesting technology too.

2019-09-26 23:52:59 UTC

Only issue is that you have to have cast iron for it to work.

2019-09-26 23:53:15 UTC

I wouldnt recommend an electrical stove if you live somewhere thats prone to power outtages

2019-09-26 23:53:20 UTC

what would also be cool is to be able to raise a pig for food

2019-09-26 23:53:46 UTC

god no we had pigs on the farm I grew up on, they stink to high heavens

2019-09-26 23:53:46 UTC

Induction works by flipping magnetic fields, which causes heat to be generated in magnetic metals. Cast iron works the best.

2019-09-26 23:54:02 UTC

I love cast irons

2019-09-26 23:54:06 UTC

do cows stink

2019-09-26 23:54:22 UTC

Cool. Then you may like induction ranges. @pussydestroyer

2019-09-26 23:54:33 UTC

although they can often be fed for reasonably cheap if you know local bakeries and vegetable processors you can get their scraps for free

2019-09-26 23:54:38 UTC

not as bad as pigs

2019-09-26 23:54:48 UTC

cows need more land generally though

2019-09-26 23:55:22 UTC

on a small block of land probably better with chickens a maybe a couple sheep

2019-09-26 23:55:35 UTC

with sheep at least you don't need a mower

2019-09-26 23:55:40 UTC

ooh and a goat for milk

2019-09-26 23:55:43 UTC

i love goat milk

2019-09-26 23:57:06 UTC

what can sheep offer

2019-09-26 23:57:16 UTC

wool and meat

2019-09-26 23:57:17 UTC

besides being lawnmowers

2019-09-26 23:57:31 UTC

what would you use wool for

2019-09-26 23:57:34 UTC

@Salacious Swanky Cat we'll see once I get a house and where. Planning on moving more rural but if Im at risk of getting a bunch of power outtages then I might just get a gas stove. We'll see. I do like induction stoves though. Ive had them before

2019-09-26 23:57:59 UTC

probably could sell it

2019-09-26 23:58:13 UTC

i think i have an induction stovetop

2019-09-26 23:58:13 UTC

@pussydestroyer that’s cool. Since you are going rural, you may consider using solar.

2019-09-26 23:58:19 UTC

wool is kind of Australia's thing

2019-09-26 23:58:26 UTC

lol

2019-09-26 23:58:42 UTC

i kinda wanna try sheep meat
