I should also add he thinks he's a racecar mechanic so he does lots of weird stuff to his cars. He's only crashed once. He just keeps blowing the engine

At one point he would travel with a length of hose in his trunk just so he could cut it down to replace intercooler hoses he would bust at least once a week

I had a 1992 ford probe that lasted me 15 years

and when I had it it was an old car

Jeez, they definitely don't make those anymore. I can't say I've seen a ford probe

I had to replace the radiator

eventually the transmission just died

the engine was fine

anyone got any recommendations for reliable used cars... also, first car. I don't even have my license yet

There is no reliable used car in terms of what you're buying

try to buy from the owner, look up carfax or w/e.
