Goodnyaght everynyan! I have discovered there is a conspiracy theory about neo classical architecture, especially of that in America. There is a belief that 1893 world's fair in Chicago was used as a cover up to rebrand the buildings as built by some lost world civilisation to having being built only recently. The issue seems to come from the feeling that they wouldnt have invested so much effort and money into building it only to tear it down after only a few months of being open. Especially considering the scale and beauty of the buildings. On a similar note, the Eiffel Tower was also built for the world's fair but was planned to be torn down even tho it was the tallest structure in the world at that time. Though I doubt these conspiracies about historical resets, I do find it a shame that such lovely buildings were torn down.
