Amoled is amazing, it also doesn't suffer from all the glaring issues on a phone since it's not actually on as much as say a TV or monitor.

That's true, but there's also the obvious point of a phone screen typically isn't on for extended periods of time on a static image. Then as far as life span goes, most people don't keep a phone longer then 2 or 3 years.
