chip.de for example provides a p2p download tool which increases your download speed while asking you to install minor adware

but this one.. dunno what i downloaded at that time

As far as I'm concerned, there's no such thing as a download accelerator.

The only way to accelerate your downloads is stick a better cable between the computer and network.

well. downloading p2p does accelerate if multiple people are on the botnet
