Those little hand deals work okay, but some. Of them are proned to rounding the tip off.
Is it any good
It probably has like a 45 degree, 30, and 15 for different types of blades. Definitely looks better than the quickie sharpener I used at work before.
So it will be okay?
You think?
Here's a closer pic
It'll do a good enough job if you're not keen on just getting a stone and doing it by hand.
I dunno if you can replace the files in them, though. Pretty sure they're meant to be disposable.
Oh nice. It's three different grits.
Yeah, as long as it doesn't fall apart that'll be pretty nice.
any guides on how to file disputes on ali express (what to do/what not to do)? I Bought a Megir watch which mostly works but part of it sticks out because its broken and hurts my poor hand
No problem. Yeah if you have a blunt knife to sharpen, you start with the coarsest one, then work you're way down to the polisher. Trick is to make sure you keep the blade square, and consistently use the same angle.
Yeah that'll take some training
Is it hard generally?
I don't think so, but not everyone has good motor skills. It's a lot harder to fuck up with one of those things though.
I'm glad to hear
Wet stones are the beat, though, man. Would turn garbage knives into excellent meat trimming tools. They just didn't hold an edge worth a fuck.
so the only downside of TN is viewing angle?
I'm a newb, just ordered my two first knives
How much is it?
9$ USD with shipping
Shit, there's no reason not to get it.
Here's a link for you
If you're interested
does that really work?
Yeah they work.
better than a sharpening stone? or just easier
No.
Easier more convenient.
might get one
That one looks pretty nice actually, since it has the 3 different grades. The one I used before just has the one 45 degree file wedge.
And you had to hold it in a way where you had a distinct likelihood of cutting yourself.
Sounds quite dangerous
It looked like a kite handle with the file on one corner running parallel with the handle.
god damn
Yeah, haha.
Only place I use regular knives is as Kelloggs where we have stones and grinders. Otherwise I use a utility knife with razor blades.
