yeah back scanner is nice, my sister have a P10 and its fucking annoying unlocking it with it being on the front

front unlock is cool when the phone is on your desk
no need to pick it up to get to the sensor
and honestly, front or back, it doesn't really matter, you get used to whichever p fast

@Phatique there's this smart unlock / trusted places google unlock thing
you can set your home GPS as trusted zone in some google setting. it's comfy. then you only have to unlock it if it stays at home for a couple hours unused or if you leave
