@Maxumym I think the gold model with 256gb internal storage had 6gb

2017-11-08 11:09:46 UTC

Still, unofficial support is what makes or breaks a phone for me

2017-11-08 11:09:58 UTC

Because always official support is shit

2017-11-08 11:09:59 UTC

not bad

2017-11-08 11:10:13 UTC

@spaqin it gets updates as fast as pixel, oreo coming soon

2017-11-08 11:10:19 UTC

Essential: I’m still seeing slowdowns throughout a day, where I have to clear all running apps from the app switcher, plus I experienced at least one full freeze-up that required a reboot over the weekend. Again, these issues have been improved upon, but they are still present a couple of months later.

2017-11-08 11:10:32 UTC

fuck this lmao

2017-11-08 11:10:32 UTC

Lets discuss that in two years

2017-11-08 11:10:48 UTC

835 and 4GB ram and even after updates it stutters

2017-11-08 11:10:50 UTC

2017-11-08 11:11:04 UTC

Maybe they are retarded

2017-11-08 11:11:30 UTC

once it drops to $300 or lower imma snap one up fast af

2017-11-08 11:11:30 UTC

I’d also point out that on the white Essential Phone I have here, I thought the fingerprint reader died on it after having been out of the box for all of 10 hours. I say that because the fingerprint reader just stopped working and all software related to it disappeared from the phone, almost as if it no longer registered the component. After talking with support, they told me that this was a known bug from the latest software build and that they are working on a fix. While that’s great that Essential is already working on a fix, we’re talking about the fingerprint reader completely dying after a software update and a fix potentially weeks away. That’s kind of bad.

LOL

2017-11-08 11:11:46 UTC

@Cole they fixed it today, no joke

2017-11-08 11:11:51 UTC

2017-11-08 11:11:57 UTC

well at least the fixing is fast

2017-11-08 11:12:09 UTC

2017-11-08 11:12:15 UTC

they'll end up like Nextbit

2017-11-08 11:12:29 UTC

except nextbit was at least successful at the start

2017-11-08 11:12:40 UTC

the battleborn of phones

2017-11-08 11:12:45 UTC

if they end up like nextbut it's good for consumers like us

2017-11-08 11:12:51 UTC

2017-11-08 11:13:14 UTC

2017-11-08 11:13:24 UTC
