I've reflashed it twice now and the phone decides it can no longer do any file operations when connected to windows or itself. The kicker is google can do its shit fine.

at first i thought it was utter shit but the calibration was miles off
it was displaying 350° but the actual temps were around 290
no wonder it was doing shit
after changing that it seems good
