for example I mark mine with

A1 month/year

A - first battery order/batch I got (so it goes A B C D etc)
1 - a way to tell different batteries from that order apart (1 2 3 4 etc)

month/year - month and year of purchase, so I know how old they are right away

2017-12-11 16:25:05 UTC

isnt just month/year sufficient?

2017-12-11 16:25:20 UTC

i assume you do this so you can throw them away when they are like 1 year old

2017-12-11 16:25:41 UTC

@Cole why do care so much flashlights ? its like an autist hobby for you ? Just a question I am not trying to be mean

I just use my phone as a flashlight so I will not fall for the meme, I am already too much autistic in other way no need to get addict to flashlights too

2017-12-11 16:28:23 UTC

@emre I do the ABCD because I want to easily distinguish the "sets" of batteries, and the numbers just to tell which is which.

**you should never mix 18650's from different orders etc, this can cause bad results as different age batteries will be worn out differently etc.
google "married 18650" if you want to know more**

2017-12-11 16:28:44 UTC

phone flashlight can't compare to even the shittiest chink flashlight in terms of raw power

2017-12-11 16:28:51 UTC

it's the power that impressed me

2017-12-11 16:29:07 UTC

makes the whole thing hot sometimes it's so intense

2017-12-11 16:29:08 UTC

righto powah

2017-12-11 16:29:22 UTC

@Brokenman it's autism. as a kid I was afraid of the dark. Now I love the dark but I also want a way to illuminate the dark.

I found one good flashlight and it was all downhill from there, now i have like 13 or so

2017-12-11 16:29:50 UTC

2017-12-11 16:31:59 UTC

@Cole I think car head lights are capped at a certain lumen so you don't blind people.
