Haven't had that problem at all with any of the Xiaomemes I've had

my Xiaomeme works fine on MIUI as long as I'm not on Chinese FW

RNP3, 3x Mi5 (1 for me, 2 for the minge. 1 broke just out of warranty)

And I hate the look of stock after using it for most of my android using life

If you have one of their phones, just read the usage agreements before you really get into the phone

I'm starting to debate the usefulness of root tbh. The only things I really still used it for was TitaniumBackup and AdAway, but with YandexBrowser+Adguard don't really need it
