they've been avaliable for awhile
they get good reviews
$50 maybe
120$ normally
if you just want emulation https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10026305/9626277-coolboy-rs-97-classic-handheld-game-console is solid
uses same shell and screen i think
Hey, that's pretty good. And that accepts carts and roms loaded onto a microsd?
👌🏻
doesnt accept carts
theres a sd card in the cart though
and one internal
Ah, I see.
the reason why that's the one to get is https://boards.dingoonity.org/ingenic-jz4760-devices/revo-k101-shell-used-in-another-device/
thers actaual active dev for it lol
insane work
so, a gameboy SP
ye but this is cooler dude
and you get a better screen
what can it play
only gba stuff?
ye
ah
if I'll have spares money I might get it for the portability
it's focused for accurate emulation mostly
if you just want a general emulation device just get a rs 97
so far I'm just sticking gba ROMs on my 3ds
cheaper, pretty much same bq and gba emulation is ok appreantly
+ emulates other systems
ya I don't care about using cards since I've sold mine
k101 does have sd card rom support as well btw
nvm ```A very interesting feature of the K101 has been the embedded 8-bit emulation and the new console also includes it. This feature allows for NES, GB, GBC, Sega Game Gear, Sega Master System and PC Engine emulation and plays files of GB, GBC, FC, NES, PCE, SG, GG and SMS format. Accessing the roms is as easy as selecting them from their stored location in the microSD, and voilà!, they’ll launch. As with its predecessor, the emulation isn't the Revo team's original work but based on homebrew emulators, including enhanced copies of PocketNES, Goomba Color/Goomba Paletted, SMSAdvance, and PCEAdvance.
```
makes it alot more interesting lol
so a lot of retro console stufg
that's neat
saying that i'd still just get the rs 97 for flexability
if you dont really care about accurate gba support
not rly
