<:alismirk:230784726615588865>
damn, I am looking to up my video card. Not looking for 10 series card.
there is RX580s too from yeston and maxsun
maxsun is new and i would try find some reviews first
dont trust blindly *
it doesn't have to be a high end card
just performs better than my RadeonHD 7770, and can do hardware h.265 encoding
750TI ?
tho that encoding
i dont think it qualifies
that is what I was aiming for. 750TI can do hardware HEVC. Any 600 series GTX card and newer can do hardware HEVC. GT 1030 can't
then 750 might be cheapest one to find used
yea, just gotta hunt for a good deal.
ofc if you want to experiment you could rig that with passive cooler (incase you need it to be quiet too )
don't need it to be quiet.
Also the 750TI works great with linux, so thats good
I am from the states.
Then what are you complaining about?
chinkshit sellers selling hacked low end cards, but saying they are from the states.
Ahh
Got you
Well, I'll hold out for a used one. The market is stabilizing. Maybe if I can find a better job, I could afford a 1050 haha
...
Tbh if those price categories are a problem to you, you should honestly consider other priorities than a gpu right now.
I have my affairs in order, just not a lot of disposable income
visit that from time to time 😉
bookmarked
Generally it's not about cost, it's about how much better it performs compared to my current card. Mine does pretty well, just want that HEVC hardware encoding. Basically don't want to pay a lot for a minimal improvement, just to get HEVC encoding. I don't aim for ultra settings in games
Last time I encoded a blu-ray rip in HEVC, it took 6 hours for a two hour movie
remuxing?
for more sane option here
no, I mean taking something I have on BD, ripping and encoding the file in HEVC for use on a PLEX server
