Is the wacom tech out of patent now? I know anyone thats wanted to use it has basically had to license it from wacom. Thats why shit like the ipad and surface stylus are battery powered becuase they dont want to pay the fuckoff huge license cost

The thing is, the pencil goes into sleep mode whenever it's not being touched.

also it will only drain if you keep the pen away from the ipad

and its constantly looking for it and trying to connect

How long does the battery last?

How long do you have to leave it plugged in as a snapping hazard?

afaik Apple said plugging it in for 30 seconds gives it enough battery for an hour or so

full charge - 12 hours
