probably, updating android is way simpler now with oreo
it's not until it's made treble compatible
which afaik it isn't yet
optmius also causes problems with VR
optmius laptop = no vr if there's no display output port that is connected directly to the gpu
full treble is being able to update in the background
so its no big deal
Just a urgent WhatsApp from my Shipping service to tell me they ran over my Shipment (Marked FRAGILE in Chinese) with a Forklift
I'd say I'm sorry
But I can't
lmao
atleast they notified you
do you know what was it?
So when is z5 announcement
whats that meme fan
you gonna buy it?
maybe
that one?
because a few of the ports bypass optimus
7:41
A-only system partition
so it has treble support but not seamless system update
Yeah some laptops don't have any bypassed ports
That's not how optimus works <:thenk:329322130804047872>
The moment you start a heavy load (for example a vr game) it will fire up the GPU
There is not a single problem with the technology if you are running the official drivers for it
Even if you run it on linux the GPU will just stay on all the time
@Goz3rr huohh they wont listen
ye but for VR you need to have the port connecteds traight to the gpu for some reason
won't work without it
for anything else yea it's fine
That's why there is an option in the driver itself to optimize it for vr
But again you need to run the actual control panel to access it
Older nvidia cards without the technology wont work but they kept the setting grayed out in the panel <:alismirk:230784726615588865>
