they sometimes cut too deep

2018-09-10 19:17:01 UTC

they are pretty well designed to fit most hands and they iirc use same steel as wusthof

2018-09-10 19:18:04 UTC

god knows if they are comissioned on same factory in china

2018-09-10 19:18:18 UTC

Its not the steel more than the heat treat for knives tbh.

2018-09-10 19:18:24 UTC

indeed

2018-09-10 19:18:34 UTC

ikea knives focus more on lasting forever tho

2018-09-10 19:18:48 UTC

by considering steel matters on what HRC and other properties knife gets in the end

2018-09-10 19:18:49 UTC

its ~

2018-09-10 19:19:02 UTC

and they do have different blade profile

2018-09-10 19:19:26 UTC

wusthof uses 14Β¨per side iirc

2018-09-10 19:19:34 UTC

>buy a cheap chinese knife
>so dull I can't even kill myself with it
>cry myself to sleep once again

2018-09-10 19:19:40 UTC

dunno about ikea

2018-09-10 19:20:01 UTC

This reminds me I need to work on my wetstone technique

2018-09-10 19:20:10 UTC

Used it once and that was it

"It is fake damascus pattern on ordinary metal"

Oh, my friend, this is impossible. The knife is very sharp. We have already been cut by the knife several times while delivering.

2018-09-10 19:20:18 UTC

Time to give it more tried

2018-09-10 19:20:33 UTC

I'm not sure what you're talking about. IKEA knives were the first things I had cause cheap obviously. The initial sharpness sucked anyway and even after sharpening they got never over 'meh'. And there was no elastic one in the set, so fuck that too.

2018-09-10 19:21:09 UTC

were they 365+ things or some older gens

2018-09-10 19:21:23 UTC

(im mostly talking about 365+ series )

2018-09-10 19:21:30 UTC

I have no clue, they're long thrown away

2018-09-10 19:21:37 UTC

full metal body ?

2018-09-10 19:21:41 UTC

Nope

2018-09-10 19:21:47 UTC

yeah then not 365s

2018-09-10 19:21:48 UTC

What do you guys think of ceramic knives?

2018-09-10 19:21:59 UTC

(((Wood))) handle

2018-09-10 19:22:09 UTC

@foxhunt good for their uses .. i rather avoid them personaly as i prefer to beat my knives

2018-09-10 19:22:17 UTC

^

2018-09-10 19:22:19 UTC

>hot deals knives

the lack of orders and ratings scares me

2018-09-10 19:22:38 UTC

oh yeah i forgot to fix that one (thanks cole)

2018-09-10 19:22:42 UTC

Yeah I have a cheap ceramic knife and I am pretty happy with it

2018-09-10 19:22:52 UTC

They're good, but after I saw them crushing when a friend dropped one.. I rather not invest in them

2018-09-10 19:22:56 UTC

Never had a ceramic knife

2018-09-10 19:22:59 UTC

I desperately need to buy new kitchen knives, a nice set

2018-09-10 19:23:03 UTC

2018-09-10 19:23:15 UTC

2018-09-10 19:23:21 UTC

Just use a box cutter @Cole

2018-09-10 19:23:22 UTC

sometimes I rather cut with my Spyderco

2018-09-10 19:23:41 UTC

@Millwood lmao real professionals use a piano string

2018-09-10 19:23:45 UTC

>25years old

2018-09-10 19:23:56 UTC
