They also sell an adapter to use a SATA drive because believe it or not, the PS2 network / hard drive adapter doesn't use SATA
It uses parallel ata because SATA didn't even exist
add in a SCART adapter, HDMI adaptor, or component cables and you set

If you have a way to connect an old IDE HDD to a PC or a SATA adapter apparently you can even just install it to a hard drive now
