Haven’t studied them enough though
Honestly, we used to. I rarely see Berry’s anymore. Starting about ten years ago, there was seemingly a concerted effort to remove berries or natural food sources from remotely populated areas so the homeless would t hang about
It sucks we used to get wild strawberries and stuff
Thats fucking lame
It rly is
Just means you gotta go out further
Deep into the wilderness
Huckleberry used to be in every suburban park, even if they were just like a few lots in size
Yea I have a spot I don’t wanna say
That being said, berries are a very easy food source
So learn to identify them and get comfortable with it
Are you a survivalist person
Also find any greens that are easy to identify in your area, there should be a few with no poisonous look-a-likes
Yeet
I am
I think we have wild arugula and lettuce idk tho
That’s sick where are you?
Do y'all have fireweed?
I think you should
I'm in Michigan
Huh
So far multiple people in Michigan
Moving to Alaska in a year though
That’s sick. Enjoy the purity
Yeet
Its a good place for people like me
Do you have guns or bows?
Sounds like it
If not you should learn how to make snares
Do you know where in Alaska your going yet?
I used to do archery, I don’t have a proper one anymore
I used to do archery yea. I gotta get a big boy now tho. There’s a course around here that teaches you to make them yourself from scratch using local stuff
I have no idea where it’s offered though. I just remember meeting a guy who ran it
Not sure. Will likely post near a river where I can fish for salmon though. Still deciding if I want to try and find a place close to where the caribou migrate.
Definitely take that if you can find it
Archery is underrated
And it could save your life
Yea it is. Also really popular in the pentacostal community around here weirdly
all the pastors in their thirty’s are obsessed with bow hunting
A lot of people into survivalist stuff and homesteading are Christians
