But I think RCMP are all standardized equipment.

Cops aren't standard out here and there are many LEO exclusive lines or companies.

RCMP are a mix of US traffic cops, FBI, ATF, DEA, NSA, and counter-terror forces. Legally, they have jurisdiction over the entire country, so an officer from BC can legally arrest you in Newfoundland if they wanted, but have fun with that, Canada's massive.

RCMP in my experience are super rural though. In NS, they mostly operate from centralized barracks' in a county or other area and then they'll go out and do stuff on basically an as-needed basis, or just be a nuisance and watch the roads.

And if RCMP are in a city or any other place with local police, it's either pointless paperwork or real shit is going down, there is no between.
