There is a such thing as overkill tho
So you are forced into positions like the Catalonians were.
Where they weren't drilling people and people were deserting all the time.
And then they had to ask for help, but got rekt by Franco and the Falangists anyways.
The Soviets weren't of much help either.
Tryna subvert them and stuff.
Messy stuff the Republicans were.
I thought they lost cus muh soviet traitors and superior airpower of the right
I've been doing some research and that's what I read in an article by Chris Day.
So if you want to achieve anything idealistic, you have to be willing to meet your enemies with the same force or more powerful force.
Difficult to do when you preach freedom and you're facing authoritarian regimes willing to go to more radical lengths than you are.
Americans in 1776 had it pretty easy by comparison.
My pencils are SO NICE
This Camel
It's so quality
The point retention is higher than the tombow I can tell already
btw hey tato it's been a while
How do you know me?
People change their avatars all the time.
But yeah, you have to fight force with force
it doesn't make you a bad person/group
But when you have communist insurgents in your country, and you don't want to gulags
But when your movement is all about anti-hierarchy then you're kinda SOL when it comes time to organize against that.
exactly
anarchists face this repeatedly
So you gotta find a way to bridge that gap.
"oh here's a functioning example of anarchy"
Sure, it operated very well
and then you ask
"what happened?"
"oh a military came in and took it"
neat
great
very useful
obviously a boon to humanity
There's an argument that the US near 1776 was, but the issue there is that anarchists are also bad at maintenance.
The Amish make it work though.
Can't hate on that.
