a robot cant fix a toilet
or repair a laptop
aint gonna fix a leaky pipe
mindless jobs vastly outnumber fine motor jobs though
of course not *everything* is going to be automated
and certainly not at the same rate
shits from 2013-2016 , depending how you look at it , 6 years or 3 , not much has changed , when they claim a decade out
the prediction metrics they use from Frey and Osbourne were from 2013
they use their predictions on the 2016 jobs data
10-20 years seems like a reasonable estimate for when automation becomes more widely adopted
20 years maybe

but fuck that , still dont think its as bad as he , or others think
just think about all the shit we lost to china of all places
yeah and look how it ruined our factory cities
yaaa i know , its still manual labor, lost jobs to "automation" already happened with Chinese factory npcs dude
but no one cared about that
muh robots
it was kinda funny when the mcdonalds workers in NYC fought so hard to get 15$ an hour and then all got fired when it passed and replaced wit touch screen ordering terminals
so funny
<:niggerjoy:404280890714226689>
fuckin hate those panels seen those rarely , i never step into either of those places tho so i wouldnt know
with mcdonalds it probably helps the morons not fuck up someones order, and i bet they still do even if they have to deal with orders less
but thats one of the more obvious things that will get automated
automated trucks are a big one too
truckers are actually trying to lobby to get selfdriving trucks banned
they get paid well bc the job sucks massive dick
i remmeber truckers saying if the automated trucks hit the road they were gonna block the entrance to all the ports and shit
block the roads the robuts can't do shit
