Where was this experiment tested and you could replicate it yourself with a laser
Read the link. It was done over a lake in Hungary over a distance of 60km if I remember correctly. According to your own curvature calculator there should be over 100m of declination at that distance. These guys detected less than 5m. @Smoothie Mane

Nationa Geographic didn't measure anything.... they basically did a promo video with interviews rather than actual testing + data.
