Hes tryna be the michael jackson of gear
I just don't understand having gear, but not having ready access to it at a moments notice. It's the carrying with an empty chamber of the gear world.
whats the deal with laser cut webbing, for the most part i've heard it wears out quickly/ is generally bad
As much as it looks like it's gonna give out, the laser cut webbing on my STT had yet to fail
i've never really seen anyone wear it out for real
🤷
It’s usually made from some type of laminate so it’s more durable than straight cordura
@TemplarActual have you considered making more money? Maybe spending a little less time on social media?
Literally doing so
What do I work piece work or some shit

What’s the best way to wash gear, like a chest rig or a plate carrier?

@E L M E A N B E A N use a soft bristle brush to get sand and dirt off. You can use some kind of deodorizer to get the smell out of you need to if you sweat a lot in it. You don’t want to overdo cleaning it because you’ll just end up fading the fabric prematurely and it’ll end up making your shit less effective. The only reason you would want to use a SOFT bristle brush to get the sand and dirt out is because that shit will work it’s way into the stitching and eventually work like a saw as you move and pop seams. Other than that, I wouldn’t overly worry about how dirty the shit gets
i'm having a hard time finding exactly what i want. i want something pretty fullsize/good for heavier loads and the closest thing seems to be the lbt6094QRC but i hear a lot about it being outdated, whats wrong with it, whats changed since it came out and what else is there out there with quick release, sewn molle, side plate and placard compatibility. the only other thing ive seen is one of the pico models from tyr or the crye cpc, although those are a couple hundred more for a similar setup since the 6094 is currently on sale. that being said i find the zipper pack attachmemt system neat as fuck on the crye/tyr, i love the idea of being able to just zip packs on and off, although tyr does sell zipper adapters. at any rate excuse the blog post ive hit a research wall, i suppose the tl;dr is convince me why the 6094qrc is a bad buy even on sale.
The QRC is fine. It’s a shade heavy for a plate carrier but I think it’s a fantastically done update to the tried and true 6094
They do have funky back panels that take a super specific and hard to find soft armor package, but work just as well with standard sapi backers. You’ll just have a little extra material reaching up over your shoulders
I would say for the price it's really not that different in use from something like a strandhogg
Now that first spear raised the price it's more understandable to lean towards the LBT but I haven't been that impressed with the build quality or sewing on the newer LBT stuff I've seen
