I've always been curious exactly as to what sucked about sordins. When I got my hands on comtacs they felt chincy as fuck.

the comtac housing feels decent considering it's polymer

there's a lot of personal preference with sound quality

i like the sound of comtac IIIs more but you can find people arguing both sides

The only thing I don't like about comtacs is they don't seem like the headband is as strong as my rangeguards

They sounded softer than my sordins.

With regards to sealing

you can turn the comtacs up to be dummy loud

i dislike the sordin battery compartment somewhat as well but they're fine

sordins have had water intrusion issues in the past

if you don't like the price or comms get xpis or hearing defenders
