I know its bad for soft armor over time

...a lot of things are bad for soft armor

your plates most likely have some soft armor behind the ceramic strike face

but i wouldn't worry too much about sweat

NIJ 06 requires that your armor be tested wet

How often if at all do you clean your plates?

you're not going to sweat so much that you degrade your armor to being ineffective unless you're really abusing it and using the same plates without replacement for a ridiculous amount of time

I dont have plates yet but idk if i should take any precautions as to not fuck up my plate
