yeah

2019-09-25 04:17:37 UTC

They just assumed that limbs were as fragile as brains?

2019-09-25 04:17:45 UTC

when it comes to blood loss?

2019-09-25 04:18:17 UTC

tbh the big thing I imagine is that TQs just restrict bloodflow rather than cutting it off completely

2019-09-25 04:18:22 UTC

And massive hemorrhage is like the largest cause for preventable battlefield death now so the go to is just slap a TQ on it

2019-09-25 04:18:35 UTC

might not get as much blood as you need to have regular function but likely can last for a long time because some veins are still pumping thru

2019-09-25 04:19:06 UTC

Sci-Fi Biofoam sealant when?

2019-09-25 04:19:12 UTC

never

2019-09-25 04:19:17 UTC

NOw fucking put on the TQ

2019-09-25 04:19:31 UTC

I hope you pre-looped your shit

2019-09-25 04:19:32 UTC

biofoam already exists tbh

2019-09-25 04:19:57 UTC

I hear this shit causes tons of issues tho

2019-09-25 04:20:06 UTC

but it's been tested for a bit now

2019-09-25 04:20:07 UTC

XSTAT

2019-09-25 04:20:18 UTC

could be just like TQs tbh

2019-09-25 04:20:22 UTC

Bullet hole tampons?

2019-09-25 04:20:36 UTC

was basically told that it leaves people "picking out bits of foam from a wound"

2019-09-25 04:21:02 UTC

Zfold gauze is pretty good for packing

2019-09-25 04:21:12 UTC

Yeah no, I'm talking about like, that expandable foam you put in walls but body safe.

2019-09-25 04:21:51 UTC

XSTAT is basically that?

2019-09-25 04:22:08 UTC

it's literally a syringe of foam that expands on contact with blood inside the wound

2019-09-25 04:22:10 UTC

yes but it's solid from the start.

2019-09-25 04:22:13 UTC

Yeah pretty much it’s just not one piece

2019-09-25 04:22:17 UTC

bruh

2019-09-25 04:22:29 UTC

are you asking for something to becoming solid when it comes in contact with other liquids?

2019-09-25 04:22:31 UTC

because that's like

2019-09-25 04:22:36 UTC

not really gonna happen

2019-09-25 04:22:41 UTC

maybe if they chopped it into pieces and added a bonding agent.

2019-09-25 04:23:06 UTC

why would they do that though

2019-09-25 04:23:08 UTC

that would be stupid

2019-09-25 04:23:58 UTC

the thing is

2019-09-25 04:24:00 UTC

if it's liquid

2019-09-25 04:24:04 UTC

No when it hits air. Like insulation foam. Or it could just be compressed. Like shaving cream that solidifies into a rubbery substance. Might need a safe way to dissolve it though. Good luck finding something that can be used in an open wound.

2019-09-25 04:24:05 UTC

it'll be carried away into the blood stream

2019-09-25 04:24:21 UTC

kinda like really early powder wound sealants

2019-09-25 04:24:27 UTC

can't remember the name of it now

2019-09-25 04:24:31 UTC

just remember it used to be loose

2019-09-25 04:24:37 UTC

and would burn veins closed

2019-09-25 04:24:55 UTC

god damn

2019-09-25 04:25:01 UTC

@5W can you remember the name?
