and fucking industrial.muffs from home depot or lowes
for like 10 bucks or some shit
yeah good call
still shove ear plugs under those
So wtf is this "save money by buying only one of the more expensive headphones that weren't even made for my job" logic coming from
leights kidna suck tbh, they cut the sound rather than reduce dbs, which is good for casual shooting but suck for any real nigga shit
Instead you're just sitting in a loud af factory taking more cumulative hearing damage than dozens of "defensive shootings"
Like I said, I need to be able to talk to other techs, and some of them are very hard to understand already because they barely speak English. I can wear foamies under my electronic ear pro if the ear pro allows quiet sounds in, that's fine.
Honestly I hope you buy comtacs and get hearing loss and then have to spend money buying hearing aid batteries every week and say to yourself “well at least I only spent money on a headset once, heh, sure showed those suckers”
Then wear howard leights over foamies
There, done. Like 35 bucks total
Just buy a 3m muff that does noise amp
seriously this has to be the worst case of autism I've ever seen
Theyre, idk, the main company for industrial protection shit
we're telling you to be smart and avoid fucking your hearing
and you aren't listening
3m or msa
fuck it. @Red Korvo go kill yourself
Prob the two biggest
There’s no real economical way to do this shit and get it perfect anyway
Na he just gotta get bullied into being better
fuck it
mask off
And electronic earpro doesn't "let quiet sounds in", it's literally playing those sounds back to you
True
you could buy comtacs and just walk around with them turned off
It's got a mic on the outside and speaker on the inside basically
Even then they still won’t be excellent
Because tactical headsets are thin
And thin means less insulation
yeah
which is why you double up
Which is why industrial muffs are fucking massive
if you aren't brain damaged
Fer fitting under achs
I thought comtacs would handle moderately loud, constant stuff too. I've literally seen no source that says it's not suitable for that, and all the reviews said they allow conversations while gun fire is going off so I figured it would work for this too. I know they play the sound back, but I thought they only played back quite sounds to counteract the insulation.
If I'm wrong about that, and comtacs + foamies would still fuck my ears, then ok.
What gunshots have you been around that produce a constant droning noise
Rather than staccato peaks
I just thought that if they could handle guns, they could handle machines. What's so different about those two that makes designing ear pro so hard?
