I just thought it would be cool. Like, you scavenge some ammo, put it in your gun, and hit the recalibrate button. First shot is overgassed, second shot is pretty good, third is dead on, and you didn't have to stop to fuck around with the gas block and carefully dial it in. Same goes for if you get mud in the gun. The recoil system could be electromagnetic, so it would be highly adjustable too. It could adjust the scope for new ammo too, but you'd have to fine tune that. Maybe not practical yet, but cool.
