Ah that makes sense. I'm in an R50 pathfinder though. The only rule it breaks is being a truck, but it's only 1 generation removed from the WD21.

Only time I ever had a problem was when the valve cover gasket blew and killed the alternator because it leaked oil into it. But that't what happens when the previous owner uses fucking RTV instead of the right gasket.

My current pathfinder hasn't been anywhere yet. It's 04 but only 66k miles. The last owner of this one got sick and couldn't drive so it stayed in a garage being driven monthly and it looks nearly new, so I want to be gentle until it's old enough to use like a beater. I do want to take it to the beach though.

My first one was rear ended by a girl driving the brand new Kia Soul her parents bought her; i think she was texting. Bent my frame and totaled the poor thing, but it still worked. My second one my brother bought off my parents and he beat the hell out of it on undeveloped land around the neighborhood. He tried to do a 4x4 conversion and got it finished (never ran right because he didn't get a 4x4 version ECU) but then his salvaged transmission puked fluid so he sold it. So I know they're solid and i want to find a place to take it.
