Back in your heart

2019-10-31 03:39:19 UTC

This might be stupid, but Ruger has very little info on their site. Do 10/22's have drop safeties?

2019-10-31 03:39:38 UTC

Why would that matter?

2019-10-31 03:39:48 UTC

Why tf are you dropping a 10/22?

2019-10-31 03:40:11 UTC

Just wanting to know if I need to handle it like glass or not.

2019-10-31 03:40:28 UTC

If you're that scared about a 22, then dont own a gun

2019-10-31 03:41:37 UTC

Why would anyone care about drop safeties in anything at all then? And I'm not scared, just trying to understand as much as I can about it. Understanding it's safety systems (or lack thereof) just seems responsible.

2019-10-31 03:46:52 UTC

Why are you buying a 10/22

2019-10-31 03:46:58 UTC

Why are you asking that info here?

2019-10-31 03:47:09 UTC

its all so tiresome

2019-10-31 03:47:22 UTC

Silence no-access

2019-10-31 03:47:28 UTC

Cause drop safeties are alot more relevant for handguns

2019-10-31 03:48:00 UTC

fuck you it affects me the most

2019-10-31 03:48:50 UTC

Because my mother doesn't like the "scary" guns, and I figured some people here might know. And yes it is /gq/, but it's also newfags, where anime tiddies and fufag shit gets posted.

2019-10-31 03:49:34 UTC

Then just buy a fucking bolt action 22

2019-10-31 03:49:44 UTC

Noone in the world can possibly fuck that up

2019-10-31 03:49:49 UTC

And I'm aware that drop safeties are more important in hand guns. I just wanted to know if it would go off if I dropped it or not.

2019-10-31 03:49:51 UTC

and is in no way shape or form sary to anyone

2019-10-31 03:49:54 UTC

yes

2019-10-31 03:49:55 UTC

My mother didn't like the idea of me having an AR in the house but I was just like "whatever it's here"

2019-10-31 03:49:59 UTC

and now she's fine with it

2019-10-31 03:50:52 UTC

She specifically said yes to my brother's 10/22. I'm moving out within a year anyways.

2019-10-31 03:51:01 UTC

Then wait and get an AR

2019-10-31 03:51:08 UTC

or just get a 22 AR and swap uppers

2019-10-31 03:51:16 UTC

A bolt action would be nice. I like semiauto though.

2019-10-31 03:51:18 UTC

korvo my man...

2019-10-31 03:51:18 UTC

Or tell her an AR is just a high velocity 22

2019-10-31 03:51:21 UTC

you need to sort some things out

2019-10-31 03:51:32 UTC

Silence no-access

2019-10-31 03:51:56 UTC

Lol, my brother actually tried the AR with a .22 upper and the ".223 is basically .22" trick. No dice.

2019-10-31 03:53:00 UTC

This exact conversation recycles every time I mention this and I do not understand. I'm just trying to ask about a drop safety, what's the big deal? Am I autistic and missing something?

2019-10-31 03:53:44 UTC

Yes

2019-10-31 03:53:51 UTC

The 10/22 is safe

2019-10-31 03:54:09 UTC

Just use your brothers 10/22 til you move out

2019-10-31 03:54:26 UTC

Just buy a sling

2019-10-31 03:54:30 UTC

No

2019-10-31 03:54:39 UTC

If you really wanna think about it, do what Tet says, and just bum off the 10/22

2019-10-31 03:54:44 UTC

Butter finger ass nigga

2019-10-31 03:54:46 UTC

Save up for your own AR when you move out

2019-10-31 03:55:59 UTC

Awesome. Also, too late, already bought it. Just waiting for the waiting period. It's always going to be useful. New shooters, kids, friends, just want to shoot and not buy pricey ammo, beater gun, etc. And I'm easy on my stuff, so I can always sell it if I really want to.

2019-10-31 03:56:20 UTC

I do plan on getting a sling eventually though.
