If the US or canada were serious countries they wouldn't allow foreigners to own land.

Allowing some immigration and economic exchange is fine.

But if a country has a weaponized economy, it cannot be considered to be compatible with the capitalist market and it must be severely restricted in trade.

It's downright unacceptable imo for foreign countries, capitalist or not, to own a significant amount of your country's resources. I consider myself very libertarian, but sovereignty is not just about military defences. It's border control and economics too. I find myself becoming increasingly nationalistic in foreign politics.

Do they though? 1) It seems like they support their government, although it's hard to be sure. 2) can't their government seize control over anything their citizens own, and don't they do that aggressively?
