It's an example that most people don't like, but it's the same reason that some people fill every hunting tag they have in earthen tone non-camo. They played the other factors and thereby didn't suffer, vs a guy in the latest realtree brand realtree stands out like a sore thumb if he's just lazily jumping 15 foot up a bald tree and hanging out. And just like us, most game animals have a limited color vision that omits some colors we see and includes some we can't. They also, like us, are more alarmed or tipped off by certain colors.
