the manufacturer of the ifak
it's a shit tier chinese pouch that was only bought for T&E while I wait on an AWS medical pouch
@Vic post gear with a timestamp.
the moment I pick up the AWS bag this is going back to the mfg
@All UCP Everything buy a raptor.
I asked about that one earlier
Is it legit?
The Odin mk 3
all of those belts are legit, the only difference is that the AWS is the most barebones and therefore the cheapest
you can't go wrong with a $100+ belt with padding and sewn in PALS webbing
part of the reason the AWS is so cheap is also the fact that it has no PALS webbing and requires those MOLLE panels
it's still a very nice belt but if you put a half dozen panels on there to load gear you're going to pay just as much as if you had bought a $100 belt with PALS webs
I might go with the raptor
If I ever got another one I would probably get the normal sized tkn
@Punished Gunn Do you have the Raptor?
The mk3 is great.
Do you have the regular or 3 gun stiffness?
tom, how you putting holsters onto a two piece belt?
I have regular and it works fine for me. I might have sprung for 3gun if I had bought direct, but I haven't compared the two.
And I'm using a QLS on a UBL just directly threaded through the outer belt like any other.
I have basically the same amount of gear on mine so I might go with regular
does it sit between MOLLE pouches or is it mounted to one?
so just mounted to the belt itself, not hooked through PALS
That the quickdetach holster mount?
Actually that reminds me. Where exactly do you guys normally put the zip ties to take the extra wobble out?
I’ve never actually done it
@Festive yeah. Takes less than a second to swap between holsters if you need to. I'm probably going to be running different sidearms once I land this job.
How easy is it to accadently yeet your gun because you bumped the holster weird
Also what job?
It's not easy to yeet
Just as secure as a dedicated holster?
In general i mean
im on that quest
I've never heard of it being an issue. You have to detent the fork from both sides of the holster at the same time to remove it. They make a locking version if you're really worried about it. And state police.
Id say the prongs are 1/4 long, so you'd have to press half inch total, and then lift it 4 inches to get it off
