7.5 5.56 rifles are hella dumb

2019-12-09 06:28:28 UTC

Not really, from the bean counter perspective

2019-12-09 06:28:38 UTC

🅱️istol🅱️aliber🅱️arbines are basically memes in current year

2019-12-09 06:28:42 UTC

I thought 5.7 and the P90 where developed in response to domestic terrorism concerns when body armor became more available, hence the focus on not overpenatrating.

2019-12-09 06:28:56 UTC

It was adapted

2019-12-09 06:29:04 UTC

@fred_ditto no military worth anything uses a 7.5 inch 556 rifle

2019-12-09 06:29:11 UTC

bean counter will just buy 300blk because anyone with that short of a gun usually isn't some grunt

2019-12-09 06:29:13 UTC

The FN marketing department stirred up that worry basically lol

2019-12-09 06:29:16 UTC

Not even incompetent police departments

2019-12-09 06:29:16 UTC

You have guns that, from the trunnion back, have 100% parts interchangability with the standard infantry rifle

2019-12-09 06:29:31 UTC

Or you could buy 5.5 MCXs

2019-12-09 06:29:36 UTC

^

2019-12-09 06:29:36 UTC

in 300

2019-12-09 06:29:45 UTC

Because they got baited by nato to spend huge money on developing the p90

2019-12-09 06:29:47 UTC

which is what they did

2019-12-09 06:29:48 UTC

@Cataclysmo not for frontline use

2019-12-09 06:29:53 UTC

lmao ok

2019-12-09 06:29:56 UTC

So they had to try to sell them to recoup that momey

2019-12-09 06:29:59 UTC

***front line use***

2019-12-09 06:30:06 UTC

I mean, I can't be too mad at FN because the did make something cool out of it at least.

2019-12-09 06:30:13 UTC

So like "bro the terrorists are gonna have money dude"

2019-12-09 06:30:17 UTC

300m 300blk

2019-12-09 06:30:18 UTC

And as benny said, the dudes that actually use short gats will just use an MCX or whatever else

2019-12-09 06:30:20 UTC

in 300 blk

2019-12-09 06:30:27 UTC

They can totally afford body armor

2019-12-09 06:30:44 UTC

P90 is an amusing novelty

2019-12-09 06:30:45 UTC

Literally to fill the same role that 5.7 and 4.6 chambered guns were designed for

2019-12-09 06:30:58 UTC

and if you want parts compatibility, the MCX uppers work on AR lowers

2019-12-09 06:31:05 UTC

they're already SF issue

2019-12-09 06:31:20 UTC

Short ARs make sense but 7.5" seems like a meme unless its 9mm or suppressed.

2019-12-09 06:31:31 UTC

Um... exactly

2019-12-09 06:31:43 UTC

A good deal of them *are* suppressed

2019-12-09 06:31:52 UTC

Ah.

2019-12-09 06:31:54 UTC

not in 5.56

2019-12-09 06:32:40 UTC

Yes, but the point still stands

2019-12-09 06:32:46 UTC

Ur rarted

2019-12-09 06:32:47 UTC

5.56 out of a barrel less than 10.5" is a funny joke

2019-12-09 06:32:55 UTC

@fred_ditto no it doesnt

2019-12-09 06:33:11 UTC

2019-12-09 06:33:15 UTC

lmao

2019-12-09 06:33:30 UTC

If you can have your SOF, drivers, and frontline dudes all using the same ammo, with the same mags, even if the cartridge isn't optimal for all the uses, the ease of supply greatly outweighs that.
